What form of payments do you accept? Is it safe to shop on your website? What if I don’t feel comfortable placing an order on-line? What if I want to ship a gift to someone? - What form of payments do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.
- Is it safe to shop on your website?
For your comfort and safety we use Secure Server Layer or SSL technology to virtually eliminate any third party from trying to obtain your information during transmission. SSL is the standard in secure web transactions. All credit card transactions are processed by PayPal with industry leading security and fraud prevention systems.
- What if I don’t feel comfortable placing an order on-line?
Click on the “Contact Us” button and choose customer service from the drop down menu to send in your request and one of our customer service representatives will call you.
- What if I want to ship a gift to someone?
On the checkout form there is space for a shipping address which can be different than the billing address (Yours). At your request, we will include a gift note with your personal message with any order, free of charge and omit the invoice or sales slip. You can fill your request in the notes section at checkout.
- What is your Return policy?
We provide our customers with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If for whatever reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it to us within 7 days of receipt for a refund or replacement. We will deduct the shipping and handling fees incurred by us, and process the balance of the refund on receipt of the item(s). Shipping charges will also be deducted for items returned back to us due to multiple unsuccessful attempts by the carrier to deliver a product which requires a signature at the delivery address. Sometimes you will have an option to release the package without your signature by signing off the release option on the delivery notice left by the carrier. Please note that by doing so you will release the carrier and AfricanArt.com from any liabilities. Special orders cannot be returned. All items featured on our website are hand made and for decorative purposes only. Variances in size, color, texture and style will occur. Some might have age cracks and material imperfections which add to their beauty and authenticity. We ask that our customers keep in mind the unique nature of their purchases when evaluating a product for return as variances are not valid reasons for a return.
- How do we return a product?
Use the “Contact us” button and select Customer service from the drop-down menu and fill in your order information and we will e.mail you your RMA information. Any returns without RMA number on the outside of the box will be refused. We suggest you use FedEx or UPS ground service for returning any products and insure them. Shipping costs associated with the return of a product are the customer’s responsibility.
- What if the products are damaged?
Any damaged items must be reported within 24 hours of receipt and all original packaging material must be kept.
- How and when do you ship my order?
We use FedEx ground, Smart post and USPS for our shipments. For items too big to ship Via FedEx we use a truck line. All products in stock are shipped within 24-48 Hours of receipt of your order excluding weekends and holidays. If multiple orders are placed going to the same address using our Free Shipping offer, we reserve the right to ship them together by combining them.
- On what products is FREE SHIPPING available?
FREE SHIPPING is available on all products with the exception of a few items. Those items will clearly state FREE SHIPPING NOT APPLICABLE on this item. Also FREE SHIPPING is only available for shipments within Continental US. For shipments to Alaska and Hawaii please contact us.
- What if I want my order shipped overnight?
Fill out our contact form and we will let you know the options you have. Depending on product stock and time of order we will try to ship it overnight for an additional charge.
- Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship all over the world using USPS priority mail or in some instances via FedEx international. Contact us for shipping rates as they will vary depending on product weight and country of shipment. Payments can be made via PayPal or Money order drawn on US funds. You are responsible for duties, local laws or any other charges imposed by your respective country for the item ordered. Restrictions and re-stocking fee's (15%) apply on returns from International customers. Shipping charges are not refundable if you return an item. We must receive any returns within 14 days of receipt.
- Do you ship to a P.O BOX address?
Yes. We will ship to a P.O BOX address within continental US via USPS. For any P.O BOX address outside the continental US contact us.
- Do you have a print catalog you can send me?
Unfortunately we do not have a print catalog as our products change frequently and vary from time to time for each individual item as they are hand made.
- Can you reserve an item I like or offer a Layaway plan?
We can reserve any item you want with a 50% down payment for a maximum of 7 days. If after 7 days you decide not to purchase the item we will deduct a 15% Re-Stocking fee from your deposit and credit the balance. Layaway plan is available on certain products to qualified customers with a 50% deposit and monthly payments thereafter. If you change your mind within 7 days we will deduct a 15% restocking fee and credit the balance. Please bear in mind that whilst we are holding the item/s for you we might be losing prospective buyers, thus the re-stocking fee.
- Do you have a physical showroom we can visit?
