Kisii plate - animal print - 12" - SOLD OUT

Soapstone is found in the Kisii district of Kenya. True to tradition, only hand-made tools are used to carve the stone. The soapstone is first immersed into water so that it is easier to mould and carve. Color is used to give the piece a brighter look. The cool soft touch of Kisii is a unique feature of this delicate, exotic African stone. These plates are for ornamental display only.
