Baule ancestral figure

This is a beautiful old piece with good patina. There is some natural cracking. About three hundred years ago, the Baule migrated westwards from Ghana to what is now the Ivory Coast. Their neighbouring Senufo and Guro tribes have heavily influenced their art and carvings.
