Aquaba Doll - Small (Set of 2)

Among the Akan Ashantidan tribes of the Ivory Coast, Ghana and the Mossi of Upper Volta, young African girls wear dolls made of reeds or wood as pendants, though these are made as small statues. They are believed to favor fertility through their magical powers thus they are also known as Fertility dolls. The fame of these objects derives from a legend that states that a women who wears one will bear a beautiful child.
